Last farewell to young motorcyclist who died in Ibiza: Pitiús Team Motoclub calls for an escort “without acceleration or noise”

Ibiza’s motorcycling community will bid a final farewell this Saturday, January 3, to Raúl Tribaldos, the young motorcyclist who died on December 30 in an accident at the entrance to Vila. Pitiús Team Motoclub Ibiza has publicly expressed its “deepest sorrow” over the death of their fellow rider, who was just 22 years old, and has called for a funeral escort as a sign of mourning and support for the family.

According to the announcement shared by the motorcycle club on Instagram, riders will gather at Pompas Fúnebres at 2.45 p.m. to accompany Raúl on his final journey, with departure scheduled for 3 p.m. The club has asked that the escort be carried out in silence, “without acceleration or noise”, and that participants maintain an attitude of respect, reflection and support for the family at all times.

In fact, the message accompanying the post insists on this point: “Please read the statement carefully and, above all, if you wish to accompany Raúl this Saturday, show the utmost respect regarding noise and behaviour. This is very important for the family”.

The funeral service will take place at the parish church of Sant Jordi on Saturday, January 3, at 3.30 p.m. The wake will be held earlier that day at Pompas Fúnebres Ibiza, from 12 noon.

Pitiús Team Motoclub Ibiza has expressed its support for the family, friends and loved ones, and said goodbye to their fellow rider with a message of affection: “Bon voyage, partner. May the road be kind to you”.

The young man died almost instantly in a traffic accident on the afternoon of December 30 on the first ring road, in the area connecting with Avinguda de Sant Joan, opposite the Eroski supermarket. According to eyewitnesses, no other vehicle was involved in the incident: the rider lost control of the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries in the fall. Although emergency services attempted to resuscitate him, their efforts were unsuccessful.

Another young man, aged 20, who was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle, was also injured in the accident. He was taken by ambulance to Hospital Can Misses and was discharged on December 31.
