Putting an end to delays in Ibiza’s ITV: the Consell tenders two new mobile stations

With the aim of improving and strengthening the service on the island, the Consell de Ibiza has launched a tender for the contracting of two additional mobile Technical Vehicle Inspection (ITV) units. As reported by the island institution in a statement, the contract has already been published on the Public Sector Procurement Platform, with a base bidding budget of €1.46 million. The initial duration of the contract will be one year, with the possibility of an extension.

The Consell has explained that the introduction of these new mobile units will increase inspection capacity, with an estimated 30,000 additional inspections, and will also help to speed up the response to high demand, especially at certain times of the year. Companies interested in bidding for the contract may submit their applications until 12 January.

In parallel with this measure, the Human Resources Department has launched a new recruitment pool for mechanics, from which two professionals have already been hired for the ITV service, one of whom has already taken up their post. These actions aim to improve the efficiency of the ITV service and reduce waiting times for users on the island.
