A man attempted to throw himself from the fourth floor of a building in Platja d’en Bossa, in the municipality of Ibiza. The incident occurred early this morning, when residents of a housing development overlooking Pere Matutes Noguera Avenue and the Platja d’en Bossa promenade heard screams and commotion coming from one of the apartments. When they went out onto their balconies, they saw a man trying to jump from the fourth floor of one of the blocks.
At that moment, the man already had half his body over the railing while several people tried to hold him back. Two police officers, armed with batons, were also attempting to restrain him. The officers and other bystanders were trying to pull the man back onto the terrace; however, he appeared determined to jump. According to eyewitnesses, the man seemed to be under the influence of drugs.
