The operation against cocaine trafficking from the port of Valencia led by the 15th Court of Instruction of this city has resulted in the arrest of 81 people and the intervention of 4.5 tons of cocaine, as reported by the National Police, which will report in depth this Friday on these facts. The so-called operation Spider began in 2024 and in its final phase, developed this week, has required 59 searches in different locations in the province of Valencia and the island of Ibiza .
Police officials, Commissioner Marcelino Fernández, head of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade of Valencia; Commissioner Francisco José Redondo, head of the Central Support Brigade of the General Commissariat of Judicial Police, and Chief Inspector Francisco Jesús Soriano, head of the Section of the Drugs and Organized Crime Unit (UDYCO) of Valencia, will present the seizures tomorrow.
The so-called Valencia Port Cartel operated as a “networked” criminal organization, with different branches or factions separated as cells or watertight compartments with differentiated functions, as the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community recently reported in a communiqué.

These branches range from foreign criminal groups that finance the operations to other drug traffickers with international contacts, groups with national contacts, dockers, customs representatives, businessmen, transporters and people dedicated to money laundering.
More than forty of the people arrested for their alleged relationship with a criminal organization dedicated to introducing cocaine through the port of Valencia, arrested in a macro police operation that has allowed the intervention of almost 3.6 tons of this substance, have passed this Wednesday to judicial disposition.
More than half of the total number of detainees in this operation were already placed this Wednesday at the disposal of the Court of Instruction, as reported by the Valencian TSJ.
