The best plans for the weekend in Ibiza and Formentera

Music is perhaps the big star of this weekend’s cultural and leisure program in Ibiza and Formentera, with great concerts, such as the Argentine band Bersuit Vergarabat on Thursday in Las Salias, the festival Guitarres de Formentera from Friday to Sunday, the Catalans Els Pets on Saturday in es Caló de s’Oli, a new candlelight recital by Eivissa Daurada on Saturday in Dalt Vila, the mini-tour of bluesman Víctor Sánchez around Ibiza, the presentation of the project Awarë on Sunday at the Teatro Pereyra, or the Cuban soul of ‘Iré a Santiago’, on Sunday in Dalt Vila as part of the ‘Nits al baluard’.

But we must not forget the ‘Nit del Patrimoni’, which Vila celebrates on Saturday with dance and guided and dramatized tours

A weekend that continues the festive program of Sant Mateu, with an eighties night on Saturday, and which is joined by those of Sant Miquel and the parish of Santa Cruz in Vila.

Literature lovers have two appointments with writer Toni Montserrat, who presents his new novel, ‘Puerto oscuro’, on Thursday in Jesús and on Friday in Formentera, where the documentary ‘Històries de migracions’, with a colloquium, will also be presented on Thursday.

The dance cycle of the Consell de Ibiza in Cas Serres has two dates, on Friday with ‘Entre las piernas’, for adults, and on Sunday with ‘Marceline’, for children’s audiences.

And there are also a lot of activities within the cycles ‘Units pel nostre parlar’, in Sant Josep, the ‘Joves al carrer’ in Santa Eulària, workshops at the interpretation center of Sa Caleta, ‘Dissabtes a la fresca’ in Sant Ferran….

And art lovers should not miss the Ibiza Art Fair, which opens this Friday at Es Polvorí in Dalt Vila, with local and international artists.
