Rain and cooler spell to hit Ibiza early Tuesday

The week begins in the Balearic Islands with a slight atmospheric instability this Monday which could leave locally heavy showers in the north of Mallorca and there will be a generalized drop in temperatures after several days of intense heat.

The delegate of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), María José Guerrero reported that “in the rest of the archipelago cloudy intervals are expected, with maximum temperatures ranging between 30 and 35 degrees”.

For this tuesdayinstability will persist with isolated showers in Mallorca. In Ibiza and Formenterathe showers and thunderstorms will be heavier during the first part of the daywhere a yellow weather warning at the maximum. Temperatures will drop slightly, with highs between 28 and 32 degrees.

The minimum will also drop significantly, with between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius expected during the early morning hours and even will drop to 17 degrees at some points during the monday night to Tuesday, which will still be considered a torrid night in some areas.

As of tuesday afternoona gradual stabilization of the weather. Temperatures will rise slightly again, reaching maximums of between 29 and 33 degrees. This thermal relief will be maintained during the week, although Aemet warns that, facing the next week, the thermometers will rise again.
