Ibiza cala shortlisted for best beach in Spain 2025

Readers of the lifestyle and travel trade publication Condé Nast Traveler choose one more year the best beach in Spain and among the candidates is Cala Bassa, in Ibiza.

This beach has already been selected as the best of the Balearic Islands this 2025 by Condé Nast Traveler. The publication describes this beach as “sandy with rocks on both sides, ideal for fishing. A pine forest surrounding the beach invites for a long walk or a well-deserved siesta in the shade. The shallow waters are calm and transparent, perfect for water sports and highly recommended for families with children”

Readers began voting on May 20 for their favorite beach among the four selected by the magazine’s team of specialists within each Autonomous Community. Now, the finalist beaches compete for the gold medal and the winner will be revealed on June 17.

These are the 10 finalists for the best beach in Spain 2025: Playa de los Genoveses (Níjar, Almería); Cala Bassa (Ibiza); Playa de Las Canteras (Gran Canaria); Playa de los Locos (Suances); Cala Cap Roig (Sant Antoni de Calonge, Girona); Cala del Portitxol (Jávea, Alicante); Playa de Las Catedrales (Ribadeo, Lugo); Playa de Laga (Ibarrangelu, Vizcaya); Playa de Poo (Llanes); and Playa de Calblanque (Cartagena).

Last year’s winner was the beach of Zarautz, in Guipúzcoa.

You can vote until June 23 through the magazine’s website www.traveler.es.
