The period of control of access and parking regulation in the Natural Park of ses Salines de Eivissa and Formentera starts this Saturday, with a service in the latter island that this year will extend its duration until October 15 and which has seen price increases for visitors compared to previous summers.
The Consell de Formentera informed on Friday of the imminent implementation of this regulation, which aims to objective “improve mobility, reduce congestion and ensure the safety of visitors and emergency services in this area of great ecological value“.
The access control, which is carried out through the installation of sentry boxes where to carry out the payment of the entrance feehas different application times and periodsthese can also be adapted to the influx of visitors if influenced by the weather.
Thus, during the month of mayaccess control will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m except in the parking lot of es Cavall d’en Borràs (Beso Beach), unless weather conditions may cause a saturation of visitors.
From june 1 to July 15the control affects all beaches and is extended to the following areas until 8 p.m.
From july 16 through August 31the regulation schedule is maintained and is extended to include until 9:00 p.m in the parking lots of es Cavall d’en Borràs (Tiburón and Beso Beach).
From september 1 to 15access control will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m in all parking lots and from september 16 to September 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m hours except in es Cavall d’en Borràs (Beso Beach). Finally, during the 15 days of October the control will be in operation also from 9 a 17 hours.
The maximum authorized capacity is 384 cars and 1,132 motorcycles.
