The National Police of the UCRIF group in Ibiza arrested on April 11, 12 and 13 a three Chinese nationals one male and two females, as alleged perpetrators of false documentation. The arrestees were detected by National Police officers at the Ibiza airport border post when they tried to fly from Ibiza to the United Kingdom with false Japanese passports.
Shortly after, it was learned that a person also of Chinese origin decided to leave the airport facilities before a police force could take charge of the matter due to suspicions about the falsity of the passport he was showing to the airline staff. In this case, he intended to embark to Dublin. In his haste, this person left a false Japanese passport at the airport.
Once the three detainees passed to judicial disposition, the agents investigated the place where these Chinese nationals were staying with the aim of proving the connection between them and the fourth person who had left the Ibizan terminal and had left the false passport there.
Thanks to this investigation, on April 14, the fourth person was detected at the airport, when he was returning from filing a complaint for the loss of his passport at the Civil Guard of Sant Antoni. In order to make this complaint, he provided a different identity to those already on record at the police headquarters when he was arrested. He is accused of false denunciation.
In addition, upon searching his belongings, the agents detected a new false passport. For all these reasons, a woman of Chinese origin was arrested for the second time, as well as that of the citizen who fled from the airport. The two alleged perpetrators were charged with forgery of documents and proceedings were carried out, and the detainees were subsequently brought before the courts.
