The neighbors of the avenue Ignasi Wallis, corner with Cabrera street, have dawned this Wednesday with a scare in the form of intense smoke that, fortunately, has only remained in an anecdote.
At around 9:30 in the morning, the alarm went off in the Orenes Bingo Ibiza, a gambling establishment which at that time was still closed. This triggered the activation of the smoke system, designed to hinder the vision and movements of hypothetical intruders.
The workers of the premises went there, and also two local police officers armed with a fire extinguisher they verified that it was a false alarm and that no one had entered the premises.
After making sure that there was no further danger, the agents left the place and the workers of the Bingo Orenes left all the doors open so that the intense smoke could dissipate, which was visible from the surrounding streets.
