Opening date for Gordon Ramsay’s Ibiza restaurant, Hell’s Kitchen, now available

The chef Gordon Ramsay is one of the best-known chefs in the world, especially for hosting the famous Masterchef-like cooking competition ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ (yes, that’s where the name of his most famous restaurant chain comes from), which has been on the air for some 20 seasons now.

In January of this year the news was published that Palladium Hotel Group and Gordon Ramsay Restaurants had signed an agreement to open the first Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in Europe at The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel. “I am very excited to bring Hell’s Kitchen to Ibiza this summer season because it is the perfect destination to deliver the unique Hell’s Kitchen experience,” Ramsay said at the time.

Restaurant opening date

Sources from The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel consulted by Diario de Ibiza have confirmed that the opening date of the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant is scheduled for first days of June. The idea is that the restaurant will open its doors on June 1, but everything will depend on the pace at which the works progress. In any case, on the restaurant’s website you can already book a table from Thursday, June 5. “The most certain thing is that it will be open on that day, but at the moment we can’t be sure of a date because it could be earlier. And if we are unlucky a few days later,” said the Palladium hotel.

Part of Gordon Ramsay’s team is coming intermittently to Ibiza for follow closely the evolution of the works the restaurant will have the same aesthetics as the rest of the chain. It is highly unlikely that the chef will be present at the opening, but a date is being finalized for the very busy Gordon Ramsay to visit his new Ibizan establishment sometime during the season.

The menu and prices

Over the course of his culinary career, the popular chef has received 17 Michelin stars, of which he currently holds seven.

Following and inspired by the television success of ‘Hell’s Kitchen’, chef Gordon Ramsay created a “unique dining experience” to make guests feel as if they were dining on the set of the reality show. The Hell’s Kitchen menu includes iconic dishes such as the sirloin Wellington, pan-seared scallops, lobster risotto, date pudding….

Although all the information about what Hell’s Kitchen Ibiza will be like has not yet been revealed, we can be almost 100 percent sure that it will maintain its iconic decoration and the typical dishes of its menuwhich are included in every Hell’s Kitchen in the world.

As for the prices of the restaurant’s dishes, if they remain more or less the same as in the American menus (although they could go up in Ibiza, as it usually happens on the island), the very famous sirloin Wellington would cost about 65 eurosthe lobster risotto tapa, 30 euros, and the date and caramel pudding, 14 euros, to give three examples.

n all its restaurants it usually has a set menu of around 110 euros (without drinks) with which you can try its best-known dishes. For the first course you can choose between pan-seared scallops or golden beet salad. The main course is the sirloin Wellington and the dessert is the date and caramel pudding.
