Renting housing in Ibiza is not cheap. The prices of the rooms do not go below 800 euros and if we look for an apartment for one person it is impossible to find it for less than 2,000 euros. To this we must add the abusive conditions that are requested in most of the available offers, such as payment in advance for the whole season.
Payment in advance
One of these ads is for a one-bedroom apartment in platja d’en Bossa, with bathroom and independent kitchen in an urbanization with garden areas and swimming pool. It sounds good, but the owner asks for the payment of the entire the season in advance: 15,000 euros. The monthly price would be €2,500.
To this amount, which already represents a great effort for any worker who comes to the island for the season, we must add add the month of deposit and the agency fees. In total, 20,000 euros to move in.
The apartment is available from May to October.
In the ad, shared by a Telegram group dedicated to house rentals on the island, does not show even a photograph, although it offers to make visit to those interested.
