Ryanair, the Irish low-cost airline, has launched its 2025 summer schedule for Ibiza with 33 routes, including London, Milan and other cities providing Ibiza’s citizens and visitors with more options and regular connections.
Ryanair’s schedule for the summer 2025 will operate with its Ibiza-based aircraftrepresenting an investment of 100 million dollars and supporting more than 980 total jobs, promoting economic growth and development in Ibiza.
Criticism of Bustinduy and Aena
In its press release, Ryanair does not miss the opportunity to continue with its particular battle against Aena and the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Pablo Bustinduy, following the fine imposed on the airline for its “abusive practices”, such as charging for hand luggage.
“While Ryanair is ramping up at Ibiza airport for this summer, the airline has been forced to cut 800,000 seats from its Spanish flights by summer 2025 due to excessive fees and bogus ‘incentive plans’ by monopoly airport operator AENA, which are completely ineffective to support the government’s policy of growing regional airports, which are currently underutilized by 64%,” he notes in a press release.
He adds, “At the same time, Consumer Minister Bustinduy is flouting EU law with his illegal fines on carry-on baggage, which will only increase airfares for the Spanish consumers he claims to “defend” by further damaging Spain’s tourism.”
To celebrate the launch of the summer schedule, Ryanair has launched a limited-time seat offer with fares from just €19.99 for travel until the end of May, available until February 23, exclusively at www.ryanair.com.
