Injured turtle rescued at Caló des Moro beach

This Wednesday morning, a loggerhead turtle has been found injured on the beach of Caló des Moro, in Sant Antoni. According to the Consistory, it has been rescued thanks to the warning of several citizens.

The Consistory indicates that the specimen, at the time of “its location, was on the surface with swimming difficulties”, although it is not detailed if it had any wounds.

On the part of the local police of the municipality, and following the protocols established in these cases, the Cofib staff has been activated to assess its condition and subsequent transfer.

It is about a young tortoise, about 40 centimeters long.

The City Council of Sant Antoni recalls that in these cases always you can contact directly to 112 to activate any rescue of specimens that may be located by citizens.
