Igy Ibiza Marina has commenced a €4.8 million refurbishment project at the Marina de Vila in Ibiza, encompassing three key upgrades. These include installing electricity conduits to support large yachts, refurbishing the Duques de Alba docks to accommodate smaller cruise ships, and developing four commercial spaces in the Martillo building, targeting luxury and local businesses. The works, set to conclude by May 2024, aim to reduce air and noise pollution while enhancing the area’s appeal to affluent clientele. The project involves collaboration with multiple authorities and includes archaeological oversight due to its proximity to heritage sites. The initiative is expected to generate significant economic impact and employment opportunities, with an estimated €30.4 million in benefits over eight years.
