The Santa Gertrudis festivities are one of the great attractions of this weekend in Ibiza, in which the offer is very varied, between gastronomy, humor, music, dance, theater, cinema, excursions… By parts:
Santa Gertrudis starts its festive program on Friday with an eye on the youngest ones with the Victor’s Partybefore the big day, Saturday, when, in addition to the traditional events, the el Fabuloso festivalwhich will feature the current line-up of Locomy as special guests. In addition, the commingo will celebrate the fifth edition of the Concurs Mundial d’Arròs amb Pebrassos i Trossos.
It is not the only gastronomic event of the weekend, as on Saturday is celebrated at the Mercat Vell de Vila the Fira Marinera, with an amateur contest of guisat de peix (fish stew) and the World potato omelette contest at the residents association of Platja d’en Bossa.
From the music highlights on Saturday a new appointment of the Festival Eivissa Clàssica: Concert ‘Vocalis musica in murielibus’, with two sessions in the Sala Capitular of Dalt Vila; the Santa Cecília de Santa Eulària Concert at the Palacio de Congresos or the concert ‘Dos guitarras’ (Two guitars) of Spanish music on Sunday at Can Ventosa.
As for the laughs, the Festival of Humor, with Álex Clavero on Thursday and Xavier Deltell and Palo Capilla on Saturday. And also the monologues of Agustin El Casta on Sunday at the Pereyra.
There is also dance with IDA Company saturday at the Pereyra and ‘Lighthouse’ by Eduardo Guerrero on Sunday at Cas Serres; theater with ‘Lotsogabe’ friday in Jesus and ‘Una mare arreveixinada’ (A mother’s delight) on Sunday in Sant Antoni, a lot of cinema, conferences, literary meetings, excursions, poetry…
