The Ibizan DJ B Jones has just set a new milestone in a record-breaking career in electronic music. For the first time he has entered the the best disc jokesys the prestigious British magazine DJ Mag. In particular, the artist is number 94 in the Top 100 DJ Mag 2024.
The new ranking was unveiled this past Saturday at a gala held in Amsterdam. Precisely, B Jones was in the Dutch capital performing at an event and promoting the release of his latest single: an electronic version of Snow Patrol’s emotional ballad ‘Chasing cars’ through his record label, Arryba Music.
After hearing the news, B Jones has stated, “For me, getting into the Top 100 DJ Mag is another dream fulfilled, another step in my career. All DJs strive to be there, because it means visibility and recognition in the music industry. I’ve been working especially hard for the last five or six years and I’ve been dreaming a lot about this. My fans have been aware of how important it was to me and have been very supportive. Everything I do, the effort, the illusion, the music production, the promotion… I do it thinking of them”.
This recognition is the culmination of the best year of B Jones’ careerwhich began in 2012 from the most modest of beginnings. In the last 365 days, the artist has performed at the three global editions of the world’s largest festival, Tomorrowland (Belgium, Alpe d’Huez and Brazil), has pioneered world-class stages such as Lollapalooza Berlin and has toured tirelessly in such exotic destinations as Indonesia, Vietnam, Turkey, Oman, Egypt… So far this year she has 60 performances in 4 different continents.
Mini tour in Thailand and Japan
Precisely, this week B Jones will embark on a mini tour in Asia that will take her to the famous clubs Illuzion Phuket (Thailand) and Warp Tokyo (Japan). “Getting into the Top 100 DJ Mag is going to give me a lot of visibility to reach more countries, more festivals and more fans who will be able to listen to my music. But I don’t want any drastic changes. I love the road I’ve traveled and in your artistic career the essential thing is to enjoy the process,” added B Jones.
The ranking is made through the vote of millions of fans around the world and this year the first place on the list has corresponded to the Dutch Martin Garrix. Only two more Spaniards appear in this list, the Spanish-Italian DJ Indira Paganotto (#49) and Madrid’s Danny Avila (#72).
