Citizen security and the need to provide more personnel to the Guardia Civil were the main topics of the Local Security Board of Santa Eulària, held yesterday. The Consistory also raised the need to reinforce surveillance regarding parties, camping and illegal anchoring .

Regarding dog attacks on farm animals in the municipality, the meeting highlighted the need to fix the procedures of informing those affected as well as the dog owners, “since the complaint alone is not enough to be able to follow the procedure,” they explained from the City Council. Those present at the meeting included the mayor, Carmen Ferrer; the Councilor for Citizen Security, Juan Carlos Roselló; the insular director of the State, Enrique Sánchez; the captain in charge of the Guardia Civil on the island, Francisco Javier López Sacido, the inspector Alfonso Ares of the Policía Nacional and the head of the Local Police, Juan Carlos Mora, among others. From the Consistory, the heads of the national bodies were informed of the need to provide the maximum possible personnel for surveillance in the municipality during the season, along with the presence of a member of the German police force and two Italian carabinieri as staff of the Local Police in order to maintain more agile and direct contact with the residents and visitors from these countries.
