'The Wellesley' is owned by a real estate developer

Since a few days ago you can see in the port of Ibiza a majestic and award-winning yacht from 57 meters in length which is striking for its size and characteristics.

‘The Wellesley’, with Maltese flag, is a boat that is used for charters and is rented for 230,000 euros per week plus expenses (including the very expensive gasoline). It can accommodate 12 guests and 12 crew members. Built in 1993 by Oceanco and with an interior design by Donald Starkey, it has a gymnasium and some spaces for children.

Before arriving in Ibiza, the yacht has sailed through Malaga and Gibraltar.

who is the owner?

the Wellesley was acquired by Khalid Affaraa Yemeni-born London property developer and managing director of Arab Investments. Affara owns, among many other tourism businesses, the boutique hotel The Wellesley. The owner of the yacht already bought it with the idea of chartering it out and for it to become a option for his guests. In fact, it is rented practically all year round. It is an extension of its luxury brand, which is promoted throughout the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

Affara also bought another, slightly smaller vessel, ‘The Wellesley 2′which he has earmarked for the same business.

However, according to the Boat International portal, the boat currently in Ibiza is for sale for 14.5 million euros.
