The best plans for the weekend in Ibiza and Formentera

A weekend for art with CAN Art Fair at the Fairgrounds and activities of the Carmen festivities.

It begins a weekend with a lot of art. The inauguration this Wednesday of the CAN contemporary art fair at the fairgrounds of Eivissa, in which 38 galleries from around the world participate, which also has an Off CAN circuit with several other exhibitions, has encouraged other rooms of Eivissa and Formentera to also inaugurate new exhibitions, so there are about twenty samples during these days distributed throughout the island territory, with a great diversity.

There will also be no shortage of music, starting this Thursday with a concert by Christina Rosenvingeaccompanied by the Ibizan band The New Young Polaks, at the Venice Bay space in Cala de Bou. Nearby, in es Caló de s’Oli, will open this Saturday at Sol Post to s’Oli Festwhich will bring music and food trucks every Saturday until July 9 to this auditorium, starting with Juantxin Osaba, Juan Sebastián Vázquez and David Barona.

For its part, Stradthe ‘rebel violinist’, is the guest this Saturday at the cycle Nits de Tànit at the headquarters of the UIB in Eivissa. In addition, the Banda Simfònica Ciutat d’Eivissa will offer on Sunday night the ‘Concert del Carme’ at the Mercat Vell square.

There is also cinema, with the premiere of the festival Mecal Airwhich will fill every Saturday of the summer Sant Agustí with screenings of short films and the various programs of cine a la fresca.

And theater, with the play ‘El amor solo sirve para regalar bombones 2.0′[Love is only good for giving chocolates 2.0]on Saturday at the Cultural Center of Jesus.

In addition, several localities of Eivissa and Formentera celebrate the carmen festivitieswith leisure activities for all audiences.

CAN Art Fair
