On Sunday, a driver avoided a drug test administered by the Sant Josep Local Police, even though the officers had already signaled him to pull over.
According to a social media post from the Local Police, when officers were spotted by the vehicle in Platja d’en Bossa, the driver accelerated and revved the engine aggressively, as if there were no consequences.
Reportedly, the police signaled for the driver to stop, but instead, the driver fled at a high speed through the urban area and managed to access the municipality of Ibiza. Upon reaching Vila, the driver abandoned the vehicle and continued to flee on foot.
In their social media post, the police officers took the opportunity to remind the public that engaging in such behavior is a serious mistake. The consequences can be detrimental not only to the individual who chooses to flee but also to the safety of others.
