M.C. according to the Guardia Civil, or M.D. according to his profiles in social networks (where he claims his nickname is ‘Negro’), a 26-year-old Dominican national who is wanted by all police forces on the island since the 22nd when he shot a 9 millimeter caliber pistol (with an effective range of 25 to 90 meters) at another vehicle at the entrance of the parking lot of a large supermarket chain in front of the sa Carroca roundabout, still remains at large.
The Guardia Civil has confirmed to Diario de Ibiza that, currently, the mother of M.C. is collaborating for her son to turn himself in. The woman, who lives on Ibiza, in the Can Negre area, wants him to stop fleeing.
Despite the fact that in the shooting neither of the two men targeted by the bullets (an Argentine father and son aged 66 and 24) were injured, the images to which this newspaper has had access reflect that, at least one of them went through the car, a gray Volkswagen Caddy van, as can be seen in the image below
Guardia Civil: Shooter seen in the center of Ibiza
According to other sources consulted by Diario de Ibiza linked to the investigation, the Guardia Civil received information on Saturday night that M.C. was seen in the center of Ibiza, in Vara de Rey.
A patrol car was quickly dispatched to the area but was unable to locate the suspect. He had already fled.
This is the second time he has evaded arrest.
The first was on the same day as the shooting, Thursday, December 22nd. After the altercation, shortly before 8:00pm. M.C. fled at full speed in a White Volkswagen Golf accompanied by another man. At around 11:00pm, the agents found this vehicle parked on calle Aragón, very close to the suspect’s home, where he lives with his wife and their young son.
Shortly thereafter they arrived at the house to talk to his wife and try to locate him. What the agents did not expect was that the shooter was in the house. While talking to the woman, they heard noises at the back of the house and immediately investigated. M.C. had jumped out of a window loaded with a butane canister full of drugs onto an adjoining lot.
In his escape he had to get rid of the cylinder in order to run faster and finally ended up evading the Guardia Civil. When they inspected the canister they discovered that it was tampered with and that the upper part was unscrewed. Inside they found drugs and ammunition, confirms the Guardia Civil.
