Local police officers in Sant Antoni have issued a total of 57 fines in the last two weeks for non-compliance with sanitary measures to deal with Covid-19.
Twenty-eight of these complaints were for remaining on public roads without a justified cause and outside the permitted hours, 16 for not wearing the obligatory mask and seven for driving a vehicle with more people than the number of non-cohabiting people allowed without wearing a mask, the Town Hall reported yesterday.
The officers also issued six reports for organising a party in a private home with more than two cohabitants, without keeping a safe distance or using the mandatory mask.
On the other hand, the Local Police opened criminal proceedings this weekend for offences against road safety from two drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol.
Level Over 0.60
One of them was reported after giving a test result of 0.90 milligrams of alcohol per litre in exhaled air in the breathalyser test and for driving with a driving licence that is not valid in Spain. The other driver also exceeded the 0.60 penalty limit, reaching 0.62 milligrams of alcohol per litre of exhaled air.
On the other hand, the officers also filed seven complaints at homes for infringement of the municipal noise and vibration ordinance, for having loud music, which caused a nuisance to their neighbours at night.
