The Union of Nursing Technicians (SAE) yesterday condemned the attack on Can Misses staff that took place on Sunday by a patient who was admitted to the Psychiatric ward of the hospital, which forced the evacuation of the Emergency Department, as the ward is located there. The nurses lamented on the “stress” suffered by the health workers and police officers after suffering this attack. “This attack is not the first and will not be the last, since neither the resources nor the number of professionals are adequate,” criticized the union. Therefore, the nurses demand an “increase of professionals, training to contain violent patients and the implementation of a protocol to ensure their safety”
