The Three Wise Men are placing their final orders to the island’s toy stores to fulfill the requests of the stragglers. Requests, that according to the toy stores, show that The Three Wise Men are not skimping on their presents for those who have behaved well throughout 2022. There is much hustle and bustle for everything to be ready and for the Kings to load all the gifts before the night of January 6th
Boardgames are back, videogames and Pokemón are at the top of many lists, and a few glimpses of this year’s trends are evident with Gaby’s Dollhouse and My Little Pig Pet .
Note that the spinning top, the traditional wooden spinning top with its string, will be seen again in school playgrounds and in the streets of Ibiza in 2023.
Three Wise Men place their orders with the toy shops
Early in the morning it was quiet in the Tur toy store on Avenida España. “The orders come in waves,” explained Rosa, “today it’s quiet first thing in the morning”. She highlighted the impact that platforms such as Youtube are having to give ideas to the little ones in the house. Photos and videos are a resource widely used by the royal messengers to place orders for the royal requests.
Among the cinematic toys, Marvel y Charm are trending. The classics such as board games are a big hit and even Lego has been a big seller. The stars in this toy store have been the Lol Dolls and Gaby’s Dollhouse which will probably not be able to reach many homes due to lack of stock.
At the Camelot comic store, a huge variety of gifts were sent to the Three Wise Men, from T-shirts to dolls. Gaston commented that the classics were coming back… like video games. “Mario is selling very well,” he noted
