Ibiza weather forecast: Prospect of rain on Carnival Rua day

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts that the stable weather will be altered by some precipitation at the end of the week. The long-awaited rain will finally arrive, but it won’t rain to everyone’s liking, as it may coincide with the Ibiza Carnival Parade, which takes place this Saturday (10th February) at 5 pm, and the Sant Josep Carnival Parade, which will parade on the same day at 11:30 am.

The forecast is for rain this Friday, with a 75-80% probability, according to Aemet on its website, and on Saturday, precipitation will continue with a 90% chance of rain.

As for the temperaturesthis week, this week will keep lows of up to 8 degrees and highs of 19 degrees. The snow elevation will be at 1,300 meters on Saturday and will drop to 1,000 meters on Sunday.

Monday through Thursday skies will be clear with some morning fog. On Sunday the sun will rise again with some clouds coinciding with the Carnival of Sant Joan which is held at 5 pm, and the Rúa de Carnaval de Formentera, at 11 am.

Shrove Tuesday

There are still no forecasts to know what the weather will be like on Shrove Tuesday (February 13), when the rúas de Santa Eulària and Sant Antoni.

As for the maximums, yesterday, Sunday, 21 degrees were recorded in Sant Joan, 20 degrees in Sant Antoni, 19 degrees in Ibiza, 18 degrees in Formentera and 17 degrees at Ibiza airport.

A wet month

On the other hand, this February is expected to be wet or very wet, with rainfall above normal, especially in the western half of the peninsula, according to the Aemet.
