New act of vandalism by Futuro Vegetal in Ibiza: They cover a Lamborghini with paint

The environmental group Futuro Vegetal has once again committed an act of vandalism in Ibiza, this time spraying red paint on a luxury Lamborghini car on Sant Josep de sa Talaia Avenue. The vehicle was parked and no one was inside.

As usual, the organization itself has echoed this action through its social networks, although on this occasion the difference is that the Futuro Vegetal activist who is the protagonist of the protest appears with his face pixelated while a comrade films him.

It should be recalled that yesterday four members of Futuro Vegetal and Extinction Rebellion ended up arrested after circumventing, early in the morning, the security of the airport of es Codolar and spraying a jet with yellow and black sprays. Two activists climbed onto both wings of the plane and glued themselves together to protest against the emissions associated with luxury and subsidies for livestock farming. The Guardia Civil, in charge of airport security, arrested them after this action although the four were finally released with charges.

In the action against the luxury car, Futuro Vegetal accompanies the video with the following text: “The 1% is responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than more than half of the population. They are a luxury we cannot afford. To mitigate the climate crisis, we must put an end to their way of life. To adapt to the new climate context, we cannot continue to support their privileges”.
