The luxury yacht of the Saudi royal family trades Marbella for Ibiza

It is a real floating jewel of 63 meters in length that is docked at the Martillo

The ‘Lady Haya’ usually spends the summer seasons in Puerto Banús, Marbella. But this year, the luxury yacht of the Saudi royal family has decided to dock at the Hammerheadin Ibiza.

The vessel in question is an impressive 63-meter vessel, with capacity for 16 guests and 21 crew members. She was built in 1981 and belonged to the deceased king Fahd and now belongs to the Saudi royal family. It has the flag of the Cayman Islands and has all the comforts and luxuries to enjoy an exclusive stay on the high seas.

The Lady Haya has in its interior six suites -the main one of 50 square meters-, a kitchen of another 50 square metersa beach club a 100-square-meter stern, a folding gate that turns into a sort of terrace over the sea and even a heliport. Its home port, according to the specialist yacht portal Charter World, is Monaco. However, the exclusive boat spends several seasons outside the principality.

The presence of the Saudi Royal Family in Ibiza

It is not the first time that members of the Saudi royal family visit Ibiza with some of their boats. One of them is the ‘Turama’, 117 meters long, with which the Saudi prince Al Sawed Bin Talal had a problem with the Consell de Formentera in 2011, when he anchored on posidonia, destroying about 10,000 square meters of meadow, claiming that he was unaware of the regulations and apologizing when informed. The yacht ‘Al Diriyah’, also belonging to the Saudi Arabian royal family, has also sailed through Pitiusas waters, although the one that has been seen the most is the ‘Prince Abdulaziz’, a megayacht of 147 meters in length (which also anchored several days over posidonia in 2016) and considered one of the ten largest motor yachts on the planet. It was built in Denmark for the late King Fahd and is equipped with a crew of 66, helipad at the bow and anti-missile system. After its launching in 1984, the Prince Abdulaziz went down in history as the largest mega-yacht of the 20th century up to that time.
