The Ibiza City Council has put out to tender the construction works for three bike lanes: one in calle Extremadura, another that will connect Paseo Marítimo with camí Vell de Jesús and calle sa Llavanera, and the third in the first ring road, the E-10. The deadline for submission of bids is open until January 23rd.

The project, offered in three lots, has a total budget of 1,269,113 euros and is co-financed with Next Generation Funds through the European Union’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

A total execution period of five months is foreseen. Lot 1 corresponds to the works for the implementation of the bicycle lane on the E-10 road and has a cost of 896,782 euros. It involves the construction of a bike lane adjacent to this road, which will connect from the Recinto Ferial to the existing bike lane on Avenida de Sant Jordi, in the area of es Viver.

Lot 3 includes the construction of the bike lane that will connect Paseo Marítimo with the old camino de Jesús and calle sa Llavanera

Lot 2 is the bicycle lane for calle Extremadura between Calle Vicent Serra i Orvay and Avenida Isidor Macabich. The amount for these works is 70,982 euros with an expected completion period of two months. This new bike lane is intended to give continuity to the existing bike lane along Avenida de Abel Matutes Juan, towards Avenida de Isidor Macabich, allowing the circulation of cyclists separated from road traffic in connection with the current network of the municipality, towards the port to the east and towards the E-10 road at the height of the Policía Nacional, towards Can Misses

Lot 3 includes the construction of the bike lane that will connect Paseo Marítimo with the old camino de Jesus and calle sa Llavanera. The budget for these works is 567,862 euros and the expected execution period is two months
