Ibiza Light Festival postponed to November

The light installation festival is cancelled this weekend due to rain forecast

The rain forecast for this weekend, especially on Friday, has forced the postponement of the Ibiza Light Festival, which was scheduled for this weekend. “Due to weather conditions and for safety reasons, the Ibiza festival of art, culture and technology has been forced to postpone its celebration, scheduled for the 20th and 21st of October. The Ibiza Light Festival 2023 will be postponed to November,” the organisers say in a note, in which they allude to safety, as the festival is based on electricity.

“Despite being due to causes beyond our control, from the organization, the Association of Artists and Audiovisual Companies of Ibiza, we regret the unforeseen event. The new exact date of celebration will be announced soon.”the note highlights.

Autumn programming

The festival was to be held this year with the bastion of Santa Llúcia as the main stage and with the intention of “opening the cultural program of Ibiza in autumn,” said the organizers at the time.

Artists residing on the island with different backgrounds and origins, from photography to audiovisual creation, design, architecture and painting, will compose a large light map with striking works perceptible from different parts of the island created by Cesc, Endika, Pablo Navas, Ruben Cuba, Lilian Jung, Necko, Patxwork, Jordi Blasco, Aladdin Lights, GnomaLab, Pirolaser FX, Di-Vision and Hypnotica.
