Celebrities parade at Ibiza Inclusion Awards 2022 gala

Miguel รngel Silvestre received one of the 'Visibility Awards' at the Ibiza Inclusion Awards 2022.

The first Ibiza Inclusion Awards 2022 charity gala was held yesterday on the island with the presence of many well-known faces. Miguel รngel Silvestre, Irene Villa, David Marquรฉs or Luis Calero were some of the personalities awarded for their advocacy of inclusion in all areas for people with functional diversity.

The event was held in the auditorium of Calรณ de s’Oli in Sant Josep, and the entrance fee was a donation to benefit the associations ADDIF and Ibiza INN. Magda Provensal was in charge of translating Caroline Cohen’s musical performance into sign language.

Actress Marรญa Isabel Dรญaz was in charge of presenting the Ibiza Inclusion Awards gala. Diaz recognized the work of Emma Torres and Enrique Villena, CEO of the inclusive movement Ibiza Inclusion, to make “our society a fairer and more complete place”. She also took the opportunity to highlight that in the coming months the inclusive event will tour different Spanish cities with the Inclusion Tour.

Commitment recognised at the Ibiza Inclusion Awards

Among the award winners were different institutions and personalities. The Escola d’Art d’Eivissa received the ‘Social Commitment Award’, which also created one of the statuettes that were awarded during the night, as explained by the organization. The Federation of Deaf People of the Balearic Islands, the Abel Matutes Foundation, La Caixa: Caixabank, Fundaciรณ La Caixa and Voluntariat Caixabank, as well as Irene Villa, also received this award “for their unconditional support to social causes”.

Belรฉn Montilla, founder of the Amseld Association and Turismo Wonder; Mireia Mendoza, model with Usher Syndrome; and Krys Pasiecnik, model and advocate for the fight against bullying, received the ‘Personal Achievement Award’. Actor Miguel รngel Silvestre received the ‘Visibility Award’, as well as Ibizan film director David Marquรฉs and journalist Luis Calero.

Meanwhile, the Calleja family was presented with the ‘Honorary Award’ “for being an example of self-improvement for all”.

The Ibiza Inclusion Awards also recognised the island’s city councils, the Consell de Ibiza and the company Numismรกtica Ibiza “for having implemented projects and initiatives in favor of the educational, social and labor inclusion of people with functional diversity and vulnerable people at risk of exclusion”.
