A man of 38 years old and Argentine nationality died yesterday morning in the center of Ibiza after falling from the third floor of a building. An ambulance was sent to the scene, but the medical staff could only certify the death of the man.

The event took place in Navarra street, in the area of ses Figueretes, and at the moment the National Police is in charge of investigating what happened, why he fell to the void.

According to the Argentinean media, the victim is Federico Garmendiaa dj originally from Paraná, Entre Ríos.

After hearing the tragic news, Todo Noticias reports, the parents of the deceased initiated the procedures to repatriate Federico’s remains to Argentina. To cover this expense, the family, through the dj’s sister, María Garmendia, is asking for economic collaborations to obtain the 4,500 euros that it costs to transport the body.

Federico’s father, Joaquín Garmendia Salas, has dedicated to him in networks a touching heartfelt: “I cry and cry and I will not stop crying. A piece of my life is gone, I can’t believe it and I won’t assimilate it. It hurts, shit that hurts, and far away your sister, with whom you shared the nine months of gestation, will go to look for you so that you can stay at home. Oh, Federico, what pain, why so much pain? You were happy in your own way and that is what I was interested in. I don’t know how long I will bear this pain, but we will meet again and rest in peace. Goodbye my beloved son, until we meet again. The ‘what are you doing, old dear’ that you used to say to me when I was talking to you is still ringing in my ears”.

The research

The Scientific Police of the National Police entered the house yesterday to interview possible witnesses or relatives of the deceased. At half past eleven in the morning five agents were leaving the building with several boxes with the man’s belongings inside. The agents are now investigating the causes of death and, for the moment, all avenues of investigation remain open, as reported yesterday by sources close to the incident.

A toxicological analysis will also be carried out to determine whether the victim was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of death. The main hypothesis is that the man could have fallen, although it could also be a suicide.
