An exclusive private party in Ibiza is expected to bring together more than 300 guests at Sa Pedrera in Sant Antoni, in what is shaping up to be one of the island’s most mysterious and elaborate private events of the summer.
Details surrounding the celebration remain closely guarded. Diario de Ibiza has not yet received official confirmation of the event’s exact date, host or full programme. However, a series of social media posts and images published in recent days point to a large-scale private celebration inspired by Ancient Egypt, the pharaohs, pyramids and Cleopatra.
Clues point to the August 12 total solar eclipse
One of the strongest clues comes from the official Instagram account @pharaohsball, which recently posted the cryptic message “when the moon across the sun” — an apparent reference to the moment when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun.
The post does not, by itself, confirm the date of the celebration. However, it appears to point towards the total solar eclipse taking place on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, which will be visible from parts of the world and has become a recurring motif in the imagery surrounding the event.
The first posts on the account date back to June 3 and feature a pyramid constructed through a series of Instagram posts in different colours. Other images and videos show Es Vedrà beneath a total solar eclipse, as well as iconic representations associated with Cleopatra and Ancient Egypt, including Elizabeth Taylor portraying the Egyptian queen and artistic depictions of the pharaoh, together with images of the Nefertiti bust.
Many of the visuals appear to have been created or enhanced using artificial intelligence, adding to the deliberately mysterious and highly visual campaign surrounding the celebration.
Sa Pedrera transformed into an Ancient Egyptian setting
According to sources familiar with the preparations, work to transform Sa Pedrera in Sant Antoni, Ibiza, into an Ancient Egyptian-inspired setting began in late July and has involved a large number of workers and specialists.
Among those involved are professionals and specialist companies brought in from mainland Spain to take part in a major production. The scale of the preparations suggests that organisers are planning a highly elaborate installation, although considerable efforts are being made to keep the details confidential until the event takes place.
The same sources say the production will include a lake, a sphinx and a pyramid, creating an immersive setting inspired by Pharaonic Egypt.
The staging is reportedly designed around a scene connected to the birth of Cleopatra, forming part of a bespoke production created specifically for the celebration.
A spectacular birthday party in Ibiza
Further clues emerged on August 6, when Palmer Palm Beach, a US luxury lifestyle and society magazine based in Palm Beach, Florida, published a post revealing more details about the mysterious Ibiza event.
The publication, which focuses on luxury, culture, social life, power and influence, described the upcoming celebration as a party inspired by the ancient world.
In its Instagram post, the magazine teased guests with references to pharaohs, pyramids and Ancient Egypt, while suggesting that the occasion would be a spectacular birthday celebration in Ibiza on a scale worthy of Tutankhamun.
The post also raised questions about which guests would be flying to Ibiza, what attendees would wear for a party inspired by 1300 BC, and what exactly would be waiting for them beyond the pyramids.
“If you’re among the chosen, you’ll find out soon. Ibiza will never be the same,” the publication wrote.
A separate Instagram story shared by Palmer featuring Van Wyck added another clue: “Did you make the cut? The most coveted invitation of the summer is to a party fit for a pharaoh.”
Another story showed two young workers installing what appear to be Egyptian-style columns, with a wooden platform covering the ground beneath the structure.
A lavish invitation reveals more clues
The mystery surrounding the event intensified when Helene in Paris, the French-American singer, shared a video showing what appears to be the moment she received her invitation.
The enormous invitation is designed as a fold-out accordion-style card, decorated extensively with imagery inspired by Pharaonic Egypt.
In the video, the artist confirms that she plans to attend the celebration in Ibiza, addressing Bronson van Wyck, co-founder of the event agency behind the party.
“Bronson, I’m going!” she says to the camera.
The invitation and the social media campaign surrounding the event reinforce the impression that organisers are deliberately turning the celebration into a highly curated, immersive experience, rather than a conventional private party.
Van Wyck & Van Wyck: the international agency behind the celebration
The event has been organised by Van Wyck & Van Wyck, an international firm specialising in the design, production and staging of high-end events.
Based in New York and with more than two decades of experience, the company works on private celebrations, luxury weddings and large-scale events, creating bespoke experiences tailored to individual clients and locations.

Van Wyck & Van Wyck was founded by Bronson van Wyck, together with his mother, Mary Lynn van Wyck, and his sister, Mimi van Wyck.

He is also the author of Born to Party, Forced to Work: 21st Century Hospitality, a book exploring the world of modern hospitality and event production.
If the clues circulating online are accurate, Sa Pedrera could soon become the setting for one of Ibiza’s most ambitious private parties, bringing together hundreds of guests for an immersive celebration inspired by Ancient Egypt — potentially timed to coincide with the August 12 total solar eclipse.
