Domestic travellers arriving in Ibiza will not have to provide the covid form

Food and beverage business on Ibiza, will be permitted to close at 2 a.m. today. Beaches, parks, and public spaces may be used until midnight

The Autonomous Community takes a small step further in the de-escalation process and from today hotel and catering establishments in Ibiza will be able to stay open one hour more until 2am, as announced on Monday. Eight people will be able to sit at a table inside premises and 12 outside, as on the rest of the islands.

This was agreed yesterday by the Consell de Govern in an extraordinary meeting in which it also agreed to exempt domestic travellers with the full vaccination schedule from having to present the travel form at the islands’ ports and airports. As soon as the High Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands (TSJB) approves this measure, the covid certificate will suffice for entering the islands, explained the Govern’s spokesperson, Iago Negueruela.

International passengers could already use the covid certificate to enter the islands, a measure that is now extended to domestic flights. In the event that a traveller has not been fully vaccinated, they will be required to present the travel form as before. In addition, the minimum age for presenting a negative test, proof of having passed the covid test or the complete vaccination schedule at the islands’ entry points, has been raised to 12 years old. Until now it was compulsory from the age of six.
