“This wasn’t the end.” With those words, Ibiza-based DJ Bjones has shared devastating news just weeks after experiencing one of the happiest moments of her life. Believing she had put cancer behind her and could finally begin to recover, she has now received a new diagnosis: another lymphoma in a different area of her head, she revealed on social media.

“Not long ago, I shared one of the happiest pieces of news of my life with you: I had beaten cancer,” the artist recalled. Behind that announcement were months of chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant and the hope of beginning a new chapter.

Now, Bjones has turned to her followers again to explain how difficult it has been to come to terms with the news that her ordeal is not over.

“Accepting that all of this wasn’t over yet, after everything I’ve been through and after believing I could finally start recovering, has been incredibly hard,” she admitted.

“I’m Not Going to Pretend It’s Easy”

The DJ has spoken openly about the pain of receiving this new diagnosis, without hiding her feelings or putting pressure on herself to appear strong at all times. In her statement, she explained that she is still processing the news and trying to find the strength to face what lies ahead.

“I’m not going to say it’s easy, because it isn’t. But I still have hope, a will to live and so much to fight for,” she wrote.

Her words reflect both the joy she shared recently and the uncertainty she now faces. They also express her determination to keep moving forward, even if that means going through a situation she believed she had already overcome.

“It’s time to start again. Once more. Because this story isn’t over yet,” she concluded.

From the Dance Floor to Speaking Openly About Cancer

Bjones has built an international career in electronic music, closely associated with Ibiza. She made history as the first Spanish artist to perform on Tomorrowland’s main stage in Belgium, a milestone in a career that has included international tours and residencies at clubs on the island.

In early 2026, she told her followers that doctors had detected a tumour in her bone marrow. Since then, she has shared moments from her treatment, including the joy she felt when, according to her account, doctors confirmed that the disease was in complete remission following her bone marrow transplant.

From her first announcement, Bjones has sought to raise awareness of cancer and help break the stigma surrounding the disease, while offering support to thousands of people going through similar experiences.

Now, after months of treatment and believing she had overcome the illness, the artist faces another difficult chapter. Through her own words, she continues to share that journey with her followers, holding on to the hope and determination that have marked her public account of the disease.
