Culture Collective returns to Ibiza from Friday, September 11 to Sunday, September 13, bringing together international artists, music, fashion, technology and contemporary culture across three of the island’s best-known venues.
Ibiza is set to become a major meeting point for contemporary art this weekend as Culture Collective returns for the second edition of Ibiza Art Weekend.
Running for three days, the event will bring together 70 international artists and 20 speakers, turning Hï Ibiza, Ushuaïa Ibiza and [UNVRS] into spaces for artistic creation, debate and cultural exchange.
The programme aims to blur the boundaries between art, music, fashion, technology and contemporary culture, offering visitors an alternative way to experience art within some of Ibiza’s most iconic entertainment venues.
Art moves beyond traditional galleries
Organised by W1 Curates and The Night League, Culture Collective seeks to take contemporary art outside its conventional settings and introduce it into Ibiza’s internationally recognised nightlife and entertainment scene.
The programme will combine exhibitions, large-scale installations, live art, immersive experiences, talks and music, creating a format that brings together different creative disciplines.
Rather than separating art from entertainment, the initiative places both worlds side by side, using Ibiza’s venues as unconventional exhibition and cultural spaces.
Hï Ibiza hosts the opening day
The opening programme on Friday will centre on Hï Ibiza, where the event will begin at 7:30pm.
Six panel discussions will explore topics including the future of museums, luxury, women reshaping culture and the connections between different creative disciplines.
The line-up will feature international figures from the worlds of art, music and culture, including Coco Dávez, Indira Paganotto, Tinie Tempah and Pascal Sender, among others.
The venue will also unveil a series of new artistic interventions, including a large-scale work by Domingo Zapata and a new version of ‘Punks in Ibiza’ by Lorenzo Masnah.
The programme will additionally include a presentation focused on ELEMENTS by Marina Abramović, further expanding the event’s focus on contemporary and experiential art.
The programme continues at Ushuaïa and [UNVRS]
The event will move to Ushuaïa Ibiza on Saturday, continuing the combination of art, culture and entertainment that defines this year’s edition.
On Sunday, Culture Collective will conclude its three-day programme at [UNVRS], where visitors will be able to discover MORNING STAR, a new sculpture by Italian artist Nazareno Biondo, curated by W1 Curates.
The new works form part of a larger exhibition spread across all three venues throughout the summer, creating an extended contemporary art trail across some of Ibiza’s most recognisable spaces.
Artists represented in the wider exhibition include Sir Michael Craig-Martin, VHILS, PichiAvo, Pascal Sender, Hajime Sorayama and Anthony James.
Ibiza brings together art, nightlife and contemporary culture
With its second edition, Ibiza Art Weekend continues to position the island as a destination not only for music and nightlife, but also for international contemporary art and creative culture.
By bringing established and emerging artists into Ibiza’s entertainment venues, Culture Collective is creating a format in which visual art, music and immersive experiences intersect, offering a different perspective on the island’s cultural identity.
