IbizArt Guide is bringing together nearly 60 artists connected to Ibiza and Formentera this September for the 17th edition of its annual group exhibition. The show is being held at the Jesús Cultural Centre and will remain open to visitors until September 23.
The official opening will take place on Friday, September 4, at 7pm, although the exhibition has been open to the public since September 3.
The exhibition brings together artists from different generations, disciplines, creative approaches and artistic backgrounds, combining established names with emerging talent. According to IbizArt Guide, the collective show aims to provide an overview of the richness and diversity of contemporary art across Ibiza and Formentera.
A showcase for Ibiza and Formentera’s contemporary art scene
The organisers describe the exhibition as one of the highlights of the local art calendar, following the strong response from both the public and the islands’ artistic community to last year’s edition.
With this year’s exhibition, IbizArt Guide once again seeks to create a meeting point for the island’s creative community while giving greater visibility to local artistic talent.
The initiative brings together artists, art professionals, residents and visitors in the same space, offering the public an opportunity to discover a broad selection of contemporary work connected to the Pitiusas.
17 editions documenting the islands’ creative community
The exhibition is part of the wider work carried out by IbizArt Guide over 17 editions to document, connect and promote the artistic and cultural scene of Ibiza and Formentera.
Alongside its annual publication, the project develops a range of activities and initiatives linked to the islands and their creative communities.
The organisers say that, with nearly 60 participating artists, this year’s group exhibition once again serves as an important meeting point for anyone interested in discovering the artists shaping the current cultural landscape of the Pitiusas.
Exhibition dates, opening hours and free admission
The 17th edition of the IbizArt Guide group exhibition, organised with the support of the Santa Eulària Town Council, will remain open until September 23 at the Jesús Cultural Centre.
The venue is located at Carrer del Faisà, 7, Jesús.
Admission is free, with visiting hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 2pm and 5:30pm to 8pm.
