Throughout the summer, when Ibiza’s nightclubs close at dawn, many DJs host exclusive after-parties to keep the night going. Most of these gatherings are strictly invitation-only, designed to maintain a more private and intimate atmosphere. However, some partygoers are unwilling to miss out on the experience — even if it means breaking the rules.
That was the case for a group of young people who decided to crash the Solid Grooves after-party, a secret event hosted by DJ Michael Bibi on October 4, just days before the island’s club season came to an end. In a video posted on social media as a vlog, they can be seen walking along a roadside before cutting across open land, climbing a wall and sneaking into the villa.
Once inside, the group reportedly enjoyed an open bar with food and drinks, as well as several DJ sets featuring artists from Ibiza’s nightlife scene.
According to some users commenting on the post, there appeared to be little or no security at the event. Others, however, criticised the group’s behaviour, saying that actions like these could lead to tighter restrictions at future after-parties.
Many commenters also agreed that filming and posting such content was unnecessary — not only because it involved trespassing on private property, but also because of “the bad habit of needing to record everything instead of simply living in the moment”, as one Instagram user wrote.
