Tragic details emerge of Scottish DJ Jackmaster’s death in Ibiza

The dj and producer Jackmaster agonized for two days in a hospital in Ibiza before dying at the age of 38 after suffering an “accidental head injury”. This was revealed by the British newspaper Mirror in its online edition.

The family of Jack Revill, the real name of the deceased, reported on Saturday in an emotional publication on Instagram that there was tragically died at the Can Misses Hospital in Ibizaafter having been rushed there two days earlier from another part of the island. Apparently, he was admitted to the hospital on the morning of Thursday, October 10, and spent two days in the Intensive Care Unit, according to this media.

The incident that led to his death has not yet been released. “The police have been informed and the matter has been prosecuted, as is standard practice in Spain when a death occurs, even if it turns out to be accidental,” a source close to the incident tells Mirror.

Glasgow-born Revill worked at the city’s well-known Rubadub record store before becoming a co-founder of the Numbers record label. He gained popularity as a DJ in Glasgow clubs. He won the Breakthrough DJ Award at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards in 2010. He was also known for his residency at BBC Radio in 2014. His last performance was last month at Hï Ibiza.

Jack’s passion for music and his tireless drive to push creative boundaries through his work at Numbers and Rubadub Records in Glasgow, including discovering countless innovative artists, made him a beloved and pioneering figure in the electronic music community both in front of and behind the scenes.His talent for blending genres and delivering electrifying DJ sets and productions earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and fans around the world. His legacy will continue to inspire, and his impact on the world of dance music will remain indelible”.
