Ibiza will once again bring together some of Spain’s leading chefs for a good cause. The fifth edition of Estrellas contra el Cáncer, one of the island’s major annual charity events, will take place on October 3 at 8:30 p.m. at Nassau Beach Club in Platja d’en Bossa.
The official presentation of the event was held on Tuesday morning at the beach club’s restaurant, attended by Juan Miguel Costa, Tourism Director of the Consell de Ibiza; Nuria Moreno, president of Ibiza Luxury Destination; Cristóbal Toledo, managing director of Grupo Nassau; and Michelin-starred chef Óscar Molina, head chef at La Gaia.
21 Michelin-starred chefs join Ibiza’s charity culinary challenge
During the presentation, Moreno outlined the programme for an edition expected to attract more than 100 guests. As many as 21 Michelin-starred chefs will take part, leaving their restaurants and professional kitchens behind for an evening dedicated entirely to raising funds for children and families affected by cancer.
The event will begin at 8:30 p.m. with the arrival of guests, followed at 9 p.m. by the first round of appetisers, served both on the beach and inside Nassau Beach Club.
For Óscar Molina, bringing together so many high-profile chefs inevitably creates a certain amount of friendly competition.
“With 21 chefs at this level, there’s no shortage of ego,” Molina joked.
He nevertheless stressed the charitable commitment of all those involved, highlighting that the chefs are willing to step away from their usual professional responsibilities to support what he described as a particularly meaningful cause.
Cristóbal Toledo also referred to the playful “rivalry between culinary stars”, acknowledging the organisational challenge of bringing so many chefs together. However, he recalled that by the end of last year’s event, the participants seemed to have worked together for decades.
Organisers aim to set a new fundraising record
The organisers are hoping that the fifth edition will become the most successful Estrellas contra el Cáncer yet, both in terms of attendance and money raised.
Moreno explained that 100 tickets priced at €180 have already generated €18,000 in ticket revenue. Additional fundraising will come from activities including a travel raffle organised by Iberia, which raised a further €2,000 last year.
The organisers also highlighted the contribution of anonymous donors, whose support helped increase the final amount raised at previous editions.
A new feature this year will be a live performance by Los del Varadero, an Ibiza-based duo whose music combines rumba and flamenco pop. The group will perform after dinner, with tickets priced at €25 including a drink.
The additional event is expected to help push the overall fundraising total to a new record.

Michelin-starred chefs to showcase Ibiza’s local produce
The culinary programme will begin even before the evening event. At around 11:30 a.m. on October 3, participating chefs will visit Mercat Nou in Vila to select fresh ingredients, continuing a tradition from previous editions.
The initiative is intended to put the spotlight on local Ibiza produce and incorporate island ingredients into the chefs’ creations.
The organisers believe this year’s event could attract its largest audience and highest level of donations to date. Over five editions, Estrellas contra el Cáncer has established itself as one of Ibiza’s leading charity events, while also providing an international platform for the island’s gastronomic identity.
The event is based on a public-private partnership involving institutions and businesses connected to Ibiza’s tourism and hospitality sectors.
All proceeds will support Aspanob
Crucially, 100% of the funds raised will go to Aspanob, the Balearic association dedicated to improving the quality of life of children and young people with cancer and their families.
The charity provides support to families facing the challenges associated with childhood and adolescent cancer, making the fundraising effort the central purpose of the Ibiza event.
What will be served at Estrellas contra el Cáncer?
The evening will feature an extensive menu created by the participating chefs, beginning with a wide selection of gourmet appetisers.
Óscar Molina presented the initial selection, which includes freshly carved Iberian ham, paella prepared by Luis Valls, and amberjack with fried-pepper escabeche and trout by Israel Ramos.
Other creations include a tribute to cocido by Lydia del Olmo, leek with León cecina by Juanjo Losada, white prawn gazpacho from Calpe by Rafa Soler, and ham croquettes and Joselito Vintage ham by Sergio Manzano.
The appetiser menu will also feature smoked trout and trout roe by Álvaro Garrido, potato brioche with pastrami by Jordi Grau, and a sea bass mosaic.
The opening dishes will be paired with vermouth and Bloody Mary cocktails served with a gilda.
A menu featuring Michelin-level cuisine
The main courses will continue the event’s focus on high-end Spanish cuisine. The selection includes fermented tomato with king crab by Víctor Suárez, followed by partridge escabeche and cold-marinated line-caught swordfish by Raúl Resino.
The menu will also feature Boliches del Pilar beans with hare jus and foie from Teruel, created by Cristian Palacio.
Dessert will be prepared by Víctor Martín, the acclaimed chef behind Trigo restaurant in Valladolid. The evening will conclude with a selection of petit fours and tea pastries.
With an exceptional line-up of chefs, a menu built around Spanish produce and a clear charitable purpose, Estrellas contra el Cáncer 2026 aims to turn Ibiza’s gastronomic prestige into tangible support for families affected by childhood cancer.
