The third edition of the event will bring more than 60 contemporary artworks to Cala Llonga this weekend, alongside live music, DJ sets and a charitable initiative
Contemporary art will once again find a meeting point in Cala Llonga this weekend as the third edition of Lotus Art in Motion brings together 20 artists from 15 countries and more than 60 original works at Mondrian Ibiza.
Taking place on October 10 and 11, the event goes beyond the traditional art exhibition, combining visual art with live music, DJ sets and audiovisual experiences.
For two days, the venue overlooking the Mediterranean will become a meeting place for artists, collectors, art enthusiasts, industry professionals and visitors, creating an international showcase for contemporary creativity on the island.
Among the artists taking part this year are Lela Radulovic, Alex Jenkins, Domenico Formichetti, Jordi Gomez, Lauren Baker, Andrea Bonaceto, Joan Mas, Mario Belem, Sergio Preciado and Victor Spinelli, among others.
The selection brings together artists with diverse styles and backgrounds, offering an international perspective on contemporary art.
An evening combining art and music
The programme begins on Saturday, October 10, with a Gala Night running from 6pm to 11.30pm.
The evening will be by invitation only and will bring together artists, collectors, media representatives, guests and professionals from the art world.
The exhibition will be accompanied by performances from Daelle Live Band, DJ sets by Sarah Main and Rampini, and an art mapping presentation created by diVISION Innovación Visual.
The evening will also feature cultural performances, cocktails and appetisers, designed to turn the exhibition into a broader experience where different forms of artistic expression come together.
On Sunday, October 11, the event will move away from its gala format and open its doors to the general public.
The exhibition will be open from 12pm to 8pm in the lobby of Mondrian Ibiza, with free admission for both residents and visitors.
For travellers looking for things to do in Ibiza beyond the island’s traditional nightlife, the event offers an opportunity to experience contemporary art, music and culture in Cala Llonga during the October season.
Four artworks to support local causes
One of the main new features of this third edition is its charitable component.
Four additional artworks will be available to purchase both online and during the event, with 100% of the proceeds going to Ibiza & Formentera Preservation and ASspandif.
The initiative adds a social dimension to the event, linking the international contemporary art scene with organisations working on the island.
An international art event taking root in Ibiza
This year’s edition follows previous Lotus Art in Motion events that have featured artists including Francesco Maccapani Missoni and Koceila Chougar.
The event continues to establish itself as a platform designed to bring different voices from the international art scene to Ibiza, connecting the island with artists, collectors and creative professionals from around the world.
