In July, Nadine Piessevaux alerted the Sant Josep Town Council about the dumping of rubble in a forested area near the road to Cala Vedella. Despite not living on the island year-round, Piessevaux, who owns a second home there, noticed the illegal waste disposal on three occasions: July, September, and again in January. The land, which is privately owned, has become a site for the unauthorized dumping of construction materials. Following her initial report in July 2023, she made a formal complaint to the council in September as the debris remained unaddressed. The Town Council responded by instructing the landowners to clean the site and issued a sanctioning file for non-compliance in October, with potential fines amounting to €900. Despite these measures, there is no indication that the landowners have reported the illegal dumping by third parties. For the full article, please visit Diario de Ibiza website here.
