The Sant Antoni City Council, through the Department of Governance, has acquired a mobile Children’s Traffic Park (PIT) for the Sant Antoni Policía Local in order to provide knowledge about road safety education among schoolchildren in the municipality in a practical and theoretical way. Through this circuit, children can learn and get to know the basic traffic rules that affect them as pedestrians and cyclists, assimilate correct habits for their future behavior as drivers and put into practice real traffic situations on the park’s tracks, in which they can test the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom. The Councilor for Governance, Neus Mateu, stresses that it is a commitment to prevention and awareness of road safety among minors. “It is great news for the municipality, which will have its own facilities to teach schoolchildren the rules of the road and the dangers of traffic and how to avoid them,” says Mateu. The activities will be taught by Local Police officers from the Road Safety Education Unit. For the full article, please visit Diario de Ibiza website here.
