There is no longer a curfew, nor limit of people in social and family gatherings in private homes. The two measures no longer have any effect at this time as a result of the Supreme Court’s ruling which overturned the latest restrictions of the Government, which comes in to force today in the Balearic Islands. While the high court’s decision means bringing forward the end of the curfew by just three days on the islands, the change not only ends the current limitation of six people indoors and eight outdoors, but destroyed the Balearic government’s plans from Sunday to limit social gatherings to 10 people indoors and 15 in private outdoor. Thus, from this moment, as a result of the court order, there are no longer restrictions on meetings in private homes, which means there are no limits in terms of number of people and citizens can move on public roads and after midnight tonight. However, the Government can continue to limit the meetings both indoors and outdoors in bars and restaurants, currently four per table indoors and six per table outdoors and from Sunday four and eight. Nevertheless, due to the change that supposes the end of the limitations on private gatherings, the Government is working in this moment to readjust the measures of de-escalation that will come into force from this Sunday for the next fifteen days, and it is forseen that it will be announced by a member of the executive today. It’s also worth remembering that other measures enforced during the state of alarm such as the limitation of the capacity to 50% at places of worship end this Sunday. However, health controls will be maintained for travelers in ports and airports in the Balearic Islands.
