Carlos Sarduy, born in Havana in 1985, was introduced to music by his father and quickly mastered trumpet, piano, and percussion. After making a name for himself in Cuba, he connected with Spanish band Ojos de Brujo in 2005 and began touring Europe, eventually settling in Formentera with his partner, Marina Abad. He frequently collaborates with various musicians and is gearing up for a tribute to Bebo Valdés, with whom he worked on the film ‘Chico y Rita’. Carlos defines his music as “world jazz,” blending multiple global sounds. For the full article, please visit Diario de Ibiza website here.
