The Balearic Islands Port Authority (Autoridad Portuaria de Baleares, APB) has reopened the Marina promenade in Ibiza’s port area to vehicle traffic following its seasonal summer closure.
Vehicles will be allowed to circulate along the waterfront throughout the winter season, until the end of March, in a move designed to make access and parking easier for local residents, shop owners and customers visiting businesses in the area.
According to the APB, the measure continues the timetable introduced last year, when the publicly owned port authority brought forward the reopening to early November following a request from Ibiza Town Council. With the reopening, parking along the Marina promenade is permitted 24 hours a day, although a time restriction remains in place during daytime hours to encourage vehicle turnover.
Between 8am and 10pm, vehicles may park for a maximum of two consecutive hours. No time limit applies outside these hours.

Loading and Unloading Times Remain Unchanged
The reopening also maintains the designated spaces reserved for commercial deliveries and the loading and unloading of goods, which will continue to operate under the same timetable as elsewhere in Ibiza Town.
These spaces are reserved for deliveries from Monday to Friday, between 8am and 5pm, and on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm. The arrangement is intended to ensure that shops, restaurants and other businesses around the port can continue receiving supplies without disruption.
The Port Authority says the initiative aims to improve access to the Marina promenade during the quieter months of the year, when the needs of residents and local businesses become more prominent as tourist numbers decline.
The APB also emphasises that the reopening is the result of cooperation with Ibiza Town Council, with both institutions seeking to support commercial activity along the waterfront and make this part of the city more accessible during the low season.
Vehicle access and parking will remain available until the end of March, in accordance with the winter opening schedule agreed by the two institutions.
