Walmart heiress Nancy Walton’s megayacht in Ibiza is sprayed with paint

The environmental group Futuro Vegetal adds another act of vandalism this morning in Ibiza to protest against the climate crisis. On this occasion, they have sprayed with red and black paint the mega yacht of the American Nancy Walton, one of the richest women in the world and heiress of Walmart. The boat was docked in the harbor when the activists covered it with paint.
The organization has posted several photos on its social networks showing them spraying the yacht. “We sprayed paint using fire extinguishers against the 300 million euro mega yacht of Nancy Walton, heiress of Walmart and one of the richest women in the world with a fortune of $8.7 billion,” they have posted on Twitter. In addition, as they tell on Instagram, the action puts the finishing touch to the campaign “Jets and Yachts, the party is over”, convened by Extinction Rebellion Ibiza, who are calling for a ban on private jets and an end to luxury emissions.

Yesterday, the environmental group also sprayed red paint on a Lamborghini luxury car on Sant Josep de sa Talaia Avenue. The vehicle was parked and no one was inside. In addition, on Friday, four members of Futuro Vegetal and Extinction Rebellion were arrested after circumventing, early in the morning, the security of the airport of es Codolar and spraying a jet with yellow and black sprays. The arrested were released with charges of damage and against air safety.
