Santa Eulària keeps s’Aigua Blanca beach closed

The Santa Eulària Town Council today announced that the beach of s’Aigua Blanca will remain closed indefinitely for the time being. The reason is that, although the strip of sand has grown with respect to previous days, the risk has not yet been reduced as much as possible.

The s’Aigua Blanca beachin Sant Carles, has been closed since Friday. The City Council of Santa Eulària considered that the area presented a risk of landslide and decided to restrict access, in principle, during the weekend, when there is a greater influx of visitors.

The decision was taken because the swell had impacted against the rocks during the last ten days, directly affecting the area and reducing the sandy part of the beach. A situation that could lead to erosion of the lower part of the cliff and the possibility of landslides.
