Here are the best plans for the weekend on Ibiza and Formentera

Sant Josep és Música and Can Rock Festival, a double date with music for this weekend

Music takes centre stage this weekend on Ibiza with two festivals: Sant Josep és Música and Can Rock Festival. The first is held on Saturday and Sunday during the day at the auditorium des Caló de s’Oli, with American music, food trucks, vinyl market, crafts… Two days to enjoy in style, especially if the weather is good. The second festival for this weekend is all about hardcore sounds, with eight rock and metal bands on Friday and Saturday in Es Birra de es Canar.

There are also two concerts of the Dies Musicals season. On Friday The Groovy Brothers pay tribute to Rory Gallagher in es Caló de s’Oli, and on Saturday the soulful Ble de Safrà comes to the Sant Joan Town Hall.

There is also room for theater this weekend, with the comedy ‘Bernat’ on Friday at Can Ventosa, ‘Roca&Roll‘, based on Toni Roca’s poems on Saturday at the Formentera cinema, and ‘Mamá’, by Teatro Attípico, also on Saturday at the Centro Cultural de Jesús. In addition to a marathon of stories for the little ones on Saturday at noon at Can Ventosa.

And for book lovers, the presentation of ‘Monstres desagraïts’ in which the Ibizan dj Joan Ribas returns to his most beloved records is held on Friday at Teatro Ibiza with a after party.

And we must not forget the Ibiza Inclusion Week fashion show on Saturday at the Recinto Ferial. Sant Francesc de s’Estany also celebrates its festivities this weekend in the heart of ses Salines, with a popular ‘arroz de matanzas’ on Sunday.

There is also dance with Nur Banu and ‘El viaje de Simbad’ on Sunday at Can Ventosa, and the Fira d’Estocs of Vila and the Craft Market of Sant Rafel, all Sunday.
