An important operation composed by agents of the Guardia Civil, the Local Police and the City Council of Sant Josep, has moved early this morning to the plot of Cala Tarida where the controversial businessman Evaristo Soler, convicted for threats and accused of managing for years illegal anchorages in the bay of Porroig (it is suspected that he is trying to do the same in Talamanca), accumulates for years all kinds of waste (especially boat hulls and vehicles).

The representatives of the Consistory and the agents, after control the perimeter of this land, they are talking to Soler’s legal representative, who is also present in the area. Apparently, the operation contemplates that before proceeding to remove anything, it is necessary to do the following inventory of everything the work is expected to take about six weeks to complete, and it will be necessary to check whether elements requiring special treatment need to be removed.
In fact, in October 2016, agents of the Tedax of the Guardia Civil deactivated in this same field four shells from the Civil War. The shells were found in aan operation they carried out agents of the Seprona and the Local Police of Sant Josep together with technicians of the Environment of the City Council and the Government.
Now, and after years of negotiations, sanctions and legal proceedings, last February the City Council of Sant Josep awarded the company Herbusa by almost 800,000 euros the cleaning of the land of Cala Tarida.
